Featured Project

Our featured project is a private residence in Greenwood, Indiana.

Easy Living Landscapes has provided three important pieces towards realizing the homeowners wants & needs. At the start of the project Easy Living Landscapes provided the owners with a long range masterplan which renovated the existing landscape, provided an enhanced outdoor living space with waterfeature and helped to re-establish the continuity of the existing wooded canopy.

For the homeowners’ enjoyment, the second phase of the project was the creation of a new lower patio with an integrated pond & waterfall. Easy Living Landscapes managed the installation on time and under budget, an added bonus for the owners.

The final phase completed was the planting of native canopy trees to replace a stand of wild cherries and box elder that were dying and leaving voids in the wooded canopy. The wooded canopy was the reason the owners chose the property when they built their home. As the new trees mature they will fill in and maintain the woodland feeling that the homeowners enjoy so much.

Tips & Tricks

Always Be Prepared

New ideas for your landscape can be as close as your own neighborhood or several states away. These photos (from the Missouri Botanical Garden and a client’s neighbor) show landscape ideas that could become landscape realities in your own backyard. Try to carry a digital camera, sketchbook or even an old Polaroid for recording ideas wherever you find them. When the time comes for your next landscape project, you’ll have several ideas for your designer to study and work with through the planning stage.
